Now one of my personal Higlights for this year. Definitely the people who have been a gamechanger for many hardcore [especially vegan & straight edge] kids in the last 30 years. Karl Buechner from Earth Crisis and his Freya will play a small venue gig in Vienna. There is nothing more to add, just grab your Ticket and see you on July 12th at Rhiz.

"Freya have a more than 20 years career and were formed in 2001 by three members of Earth Crisis’ bassist Ian Edwards, lead guitarist Eric Edwards and vocalist Karl Buechner. When Earth Crisis’ temporarily concluded, members split into three separate bands; Freya, percussionist and guitarist Dennis Merrick and Scott Crouse, respectively, formed Slave One and all five Earth Crisis members continued on with their reactivated project band, Path of Resistence.

There is a lot of Nuclear Assault in Freya. I mean, mostly the vocals because the band is a little slower and more cadenced than Nuclear Assault."

NØ MAN (Hardcore band from Virginia, US, Iodine Recordings)

"NØ MAN’s roots as a frame of reference. They rose from the ashes of the 2017 reunion of Majority Rule, a screamo band whose brief discography includes a split with pageninetynine, Document #12, and two LPs. Majority Rule’s tenure lasted from the late ’90s until 2004. Before they broke up, they recruited Maha Shami to perform guest vocals on “Packaged Poison” on Document #12, planting the seeds for her to become the first-round draft pick to front NØ MAN upon their formation in 2018. “Probably” is doing the heaving lifting in the statement “probably necessary” because NØ MAN  and Majority Rule are not the same despite containing nearly identical rosters. NØ MAN has already been around for nearly as long as Majority Rule lasted and they’ve already released more full-length works than Majority Rule." @treblezine

Support will be a new Viennese hardcore band with already well-known faces of our small but agile community.
